Tasha Simone… Such a beautiful being. I really enjoyed talking with her. She was picking on while I did a few radio drops for the station. Yo, she got some serious bloopers recorded as well. LOL… Long John & Big Rob are cool people as well, mad cool brothers.

Stan “The Man” from Kixie 107 hosted an event @ The Hunt Club in Jackson, Mississippi. Vanessa took pics of me performing. Just me & a keyboard. Thanks Vanessa, you were so helpful… I appreciate your existence.

Stan “The Man” is one smooth cool brother. We had an excellent interview & he educated me on horses, in which he has six of them. Such an interesting thing to have a horse as a pet. : ) Honestly, after hearing him speak about horses, I’m seriously thinking about scoopin up a few… JK, No but for real…

Quenn is a mad cool brother, for real. We chatted it up for sec before he had to rush out to do a remote & I finished the interview with Ferrari. She had me tickled, especially when she complimented me on my body size and I asked her if she was hitting on me. She said, “Oh no!! I like fat, black & ugly!!!” Funny S#!t

After I visited the Jazz Man, we strolled over to Serious Sounds, which is owned by the lovely & warm, Marketta… This woman radiates beautiful energy & her ear for music is amazing. She has a CD selection section in her store that said something to this effect, “Music you probably wont hear or find anywhere else”… She purposely seeks out music that people are sleeping on.

In addition to meeting & talking with her, I met Ant Boogie, he came into to the store to see me, he was notified by Marketta, she sent him a message, “Hey, your boy Tony Rich is going to be at my store today”. SO he came by with a couple of his band members. It was cool to meet him in person. We previously met & exchanged a few messages on myspace. Very dedicated guy, he’s real about his music & what’s he’s doing. I admire that about creative people that possess that focus.

On Tuesday, I walked into WTSU at Texas Southern University to have an interview with the Jazz Man himself, Jeff Kelley. We talked & talked, it was a refreshing conversation about the integrity of music & the lack of courage or the lack of support for courageous musicians/artists that EXISTS in the business today. He educated me on a lot serious “cats” man… LOL. Incredible music lover. One of the best interviews I’ve had. It was a serious conversation. 

 

Those of you whom are aware of my choice of diet (Vegetarian) will find this halarious… So myself, Butch, Mike, Vern
& Vanessa all go to this southern soul food restaurant called ‘Brothers’… We walk inside, Mike turns to me & says , “As long as I can get me some trotters”… I asked him what he meant & he says, “Pig feet!!!”… So there I was sitting at the table surrounded by everyone eating meat while I had a salad & baked potatoe…

So check this… Last night I had an enjoyable time. After the Houston Comets game me, Vanessa, Yo Yo & Dana went over to the Red Cat Jazz Cafe… Anzeo (formerly of Makin The Band 4)does his thing there every Tuesday night, very talented vocalist… I was treated with great respect & very well received in a loving way… Later in the night I performed “Nobody Knows”… I’ll post some pics later…

This is my very time attending a WNBA Game… The Houston Comets vs The Phoenix Mercury… Compliments of Vanessas good friend Dana over @ 102.1… The game is about to start, I’m about to get me something to snack on. This is going to be fun to watch.
