Peter Black and his manager Robin Yip discussed preserving and saving African-American music intended for academics, students, directors based in the various cultural arts disciplines. Peter Black and Robin Yip also explored and discussed the growing trends in the development, production and distribution of black culture locally and globally to the extent to which arts, culture and entertainment are pre-cursors to the global community economic vitality.

Two nights ago Peter Black tore up the stage at the THE MINT.. that Peter Black was asked back to THE MINT. THE MINT said Peter’s show was apparently their “best show ever”.
Peter is an extremely dynamic listen and it doenst require for you to be a hard-core fan to loose yourself inside Peter’s contagious music.
Peter Black kicked off this show with his commanding strong lead guitar playing and bellowed out his signature long symbolic notes. He worked his guitar in a passionate and a wild flirtatious fashion, along with acting out his life story by vocals and lyrics.
Again, Hidden Beach Recording has something hidden!…. and it is Peter Black.
Peter’s show revealed his non-typical, compelling, and broadly appealing demographics of fans from alternative to Soul/Jazz. He can fit into many different types of venues as his music speaks to many genres and people.
I am so glad to have experienced Peter Black’s music. He is truly legendary.
Brace yourself when you attend one of his performances. He is a secret at the moment but is doing some tastemaker shows in LA. The buzz is building… so don’t miss out being a core fan.

Review: Peter Black’s show @ The Mint show on August 28, 2007 .
Peter Black is earning his reputation as one of the best live acts in Los Angeles.
When Peter Black and his band hit the stage Tuesday nite at The Mint on Pico Blvd..they ripped into a ferocious funk/alternative rhythm workout. For the next hour and a half Peter Black had fans shouting, dancing and singing.
Peter Black is inventive and intricate with his sound. Peter had his crowd going out of your minds with pure love for his music and performance. Peter Black enveloping melancholy subject matter in an upbeat and strong wild passion. Which struck a strong chord in the audience.
The Los Angeles music scene is shocked by at Peter Black’s performances.. turning out his amazing vocals and exceptionally long notes. The overall quality of his singing is astonishing. With style to flaunt and music to colorfully exploit, you will see a lot more from Peter Black. Peter’s guitar playing is sensational and down right funky. It was an exciting show as well as exciting music. Peter’s music is unpredictable, he is the master of alternative/soul and funk.
I have a strong feeling that “Ordinary Man” will be his first single. Nearing it’s end, “Psalms” had massive written all over it. Catchy is not enough to sum up a song as mesmerizing
as ” Wrong Again”.. Peter Black’s growing fans are clamoring for a Peter
Black CD. Peter received a standing ovation for 5 minutes.
Book tickets to one of Peter Black’s forthcoming shows as soon as possible. Without a doubt Peter Black will be huge by summer.

An enchanting, phenomenal soul.. is the name for “PETER BLACK”.
His creative, captivating music, has his own unique sound, the word for it is eclectic. Peter Black displayed a deep layer of timbres and textures that he has always been hallmarked for. The arrangements and orchestrations with his band displayed Peter’s musical excellences.
Peter Black was straight-up Alternative Jammin’ with dynamic lyrics and sweet melodies for every music preference. Peter’s voice rang out beautiful, soulful long notes, along with his infectious guitars riffs.
His song “Ordinary Man” struck the room with pure pandemonium, and the last song of the night “Stone in an Hour Glass” brought everyone to their feet. Peter Black is one of Hidden Beach Recording’s brightest songwriter /singer and instrumentalist.
