We had the pleasure and honor of seeing Jill Scott at the Landmark Theater in Richmond on March 16. I have not been the same since that night. It was as if I were in a dream the whole time she performed for us. I remember back when I saw Dave Chappelle’s movie Blockparty and she was being interview by one of the cameraman. They were watching a clip of Eryka Badu perform and Jill said that she really loved her. She was asked if she was nervous about performing after her and she giggled and said have you ever seen me perform? I was intrigued by that confident statement unitl that night at the Landmark when I got my first chance to see her live. I was in awe, in shock, moved, humbled, and blown away by her performance. It was a bit overwhelming to see this woman take over the stage, the audience, the atmosphere, our imagination, our feelings and emotions. It was almost too much for me, I enjoyed every moment of it thoroughly. All my wife and I could do was clutch each other and hold hands. The photos posted here are perfect, just as I had seen her that night. The pictures are majestic almost regal. Thank you for the EXCELLENT photos. This was an experience I will never forget. Not a concert but an EXPERIENCE!!!
