The Real Thing I bought the CD yesterday and I haven’t stopped playing it yet. Jill you have done it again this time even better!!!!!!!! Things for all the good music all the tracks are off the hook!!!!
I have pre-ordered the deluxe version of the album from amazon.co.uk but the delivery date was moved from September 25th to the middle of October. So, unfortunately, all i heard so far is the downloaded version of the album from the internet. Despite the bad quality, masterpiece yet again!!
nothing short of an artistic masterpiece. she has done it again. ive waited so long for the real thing and finally i got it. this is the music that feeds my soul. so poetic, so fulfilling, so wonderful. jill scott is more than wonderful. keep doin what u do girl, trust me we needed this.
Oh My Goodness Jill. This cd is AWESOME!!! I haven’t stopped playing it yet. My little girl is yelling Please Mom give it a rest!!! She has yet to understand how music can get into your soul, capture it and not let you go. That’s what your music do for me Jill. Thanks!!!

Excellent album I purchased from Amazon, but why was there no bonus track on the CD. I felt that Itunes is not where I should have to go and pay more just to get the bonus number…Bad business move. Record companies wonder why no one buys their CDs, this is why. Great job Jill as always. Looking forward to the Tour!
Every black man in america needs to listen to track #9 “How It Make You Feel” then flip to the title track “The Real Thing”. I just LOVE this CD, I was at the store at 0800 when it opened and I bought two.
This album is amazing. I haven’t stopped listening to the album since I purchased it. Every track keeps you engaged from the beginning to the end. This is definitely my favorite album of the year!
I truly enjoy your music, it allows me to let my mind relax and explore other areas without all the drama. I am 42 and I like peace and with your music I feel I can go on because I’m not in this life by myself. You are so special, keep up the good work, I read an article and I like what you said about writing your music from lifes experiences. Yes I have your CD and love it.

When I put your CD in and listened..the tears just began to flow. My hurt, my wants, my desires… all in song. Thank you for confirming that it’s OK to just be me – the real deal! Jill Scott exudes confidence, poise, beauty, pain, love…she is amazing beyond words. She is a genius in her delivery, and makes you feel every word. To not buy this work is shameful and a pity! Very few artists can do what Ms. Scott does, and that is to consistently deliver.

The worse part of the whole experience (as wtih all her music) is being awakened in the middle of the night with one of her tunes in my head; good thing my iPod is always within reach.
