I was never exposed to Jill Scott before the release of this album. WHOA! She expresses the hurt of a natural woman and exudes the strength and power of a Queen.

As women, sometimes we are confused. We are either too passive or so aggressive that we possess masculine qualities. But Miss Jill Scott helps women to overcome this identity crisis!

When listening, I close my eyes and tears slowly fall…I exhale because I hear the pain I once experienced being expressed in a manner that empowers me! I cry for the woman that I used to be and shed tears of joy for the woman I have become!

As a woman, I can express my disdain for past experiences, emotional torture and disappointments through my choice in music and not have a lot of degrading and childish verbal exchanges or lyrics within the songs. Express how I feel in a manner that makes me feel so liberated that I have no problem being dressed in my business suit, with the windows rolled down, bumping JILL SCOTT as I pull of to a traffic light!

HER MUSIC SHOW CLASS & DEMANDS RESPECT

I love Jill’s gift of song, and I am exceptionally thankful that she has chosen to share her gift with the rest of the world.

I PRAY THAT SHE CONTINUES TO SHARE HER GIFT WITH THE WORLD!!!!

This album brings back so many memories. I just remember out of them all, I use to clean up my whole house starting from #1 all the way down to 18. I felt a natural high and oh so down to earth when I sung your songs. Nobody couldn’t tell me nothing, shoot I just knew I was J.S. You make butifoe music.

This is my favorite album. I bought it twice. the first one got warped from playing it so much. This album sets you in the mood to laugh, chill and share it someone special. The words to the songs reminded us of childhood and being in love, experincing your man cheating on you. I could go on and on. I still play it from time to time. I love it. This is grown people’s music

This CD, to me, was the best of best, to kick off the New Millenium. As an older adult, this CD took me back to my first years in college, in love, in the joy of life. It opened my heart, my mind and soul, making me a J.Scott fan for life.

I love this album.. I was a senior in high school when i first heard it, and i still listen and get excited like it was my first time. Jill Scott is a fantastic artist, and i love her work, and she’s a beautiful person as well… I think it’s better that i tell you now… Ha…That’s some ish right there… HOT!!
